Operations Specifications...This is the format the FAA specifies what you may do and equally important what you may not do.
Typically a Repair Station is Certified to perform work on specific items spelled out in their Operations Specifications. As you may see to the right your Op. Specs. "LIMITED RATINGS"
"SPECIALIZED SERVICE" "AIRCRAFT CLEANING".
You will have a huge advantage over anyone whom waits until the FAA mandates. Look at the words "Aircraft Cleaning" in your Ops. Specs. This means you have the green light to clean any Airplane; Heavy, Large or Small from 747's to Ultra Lights. The FAA may very well limit a certification to a paticular series or type of Aircraft. For instance their Operations Specification may read: LIMITED RATINGS SPCIALIZED SERVICE AIRCRAFT CLEANING CESSNA 100 SERIES ONLY. Much like a Pilot must be "type rated" in specific Airplanes. The FAA may require a company to apply for ratings to clean differant types of Aircraft. |
